Flea bites: Flea bites, like all insect bites, are an allergic reaction to the biting insect. Generally, the reaction is mild, and lasts a few days, and does not cause a large wound or area of inflammation. If you pick at the flea bite, you may create a big wound that can leave a permanent scar.. Most bites leave a discolored blemish, but these are not scars. So, prevent the bite with off, and us hc1% cream.
