Choices: Fix the cavities and have a healthy child, extract the baby teeth and prepare for years of Orthodontic treatment, or don't treat the decay. Untreated decay (infection) can damage underlying permanent teeth and infection can spread through blood stream and damage other organ systems. If teeth become abscessed your child's pain can be unbearable. Not treating the infections (decay) is child abuse
