Possible but: With allergy, avoidance is the best approach. Having said that, you may try applying clear nail polish over the surface of the material and see if this works. This will have to be redone periodically.

You can, if careful: most necklaces are fine.The alloy in gold is nickel. Above 14 karat has less nickel and is probably ok.There should be little problem with pure silver or stainless steel Jeff Lehr MD
