Hard question: Depends where you live in the world. Also depends on how many people are able to get preventive care to mitigate needing eye surgery. Some eye surgeries are elective or cosmetic. So there's many variables to determine what the statistics would truly be in any given situation. In many third world or fourth world countries, people can't afford to have any surgery done.
