A member asked:

What number of people will be in the o.r. during my surgery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

3 to 10: Somewhere between 3 and maybe 10 people will be in and operating room. Typically at least the surgeon, and assistant or scrub nurse, usually an anesthesiologist, and a circulating nurse ( not sterile scrubbed). There may be more assistants and also a nurse or resident helping the anesthesiologist. In addition, there may be x-ray technicians and equipment specialists.
