Local care: Wash thoroughly with soap. Then apply over-the-counter 1% hydrocortisone cream to the itchy bumps; also Sarna lotion is good for itchy rashes. Cut nails so that the scratching won't break the skin. Lastly, benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a good medicine to stop the itching, although it will make you tired! Good for bedtime--take the benadryl (diphenhydramine) pills or liquid; don't use the topical benadryl (diphenhydramine). I hope this helps!
