Very concerning: When a blood vessel bursts inside the brain, it bleeds into the surrounding space (or tissue). That causes increased pressure to surrounding structures which can cause significant damage. Smaller bleeds may cause less damage - unless they happen in more vital areas. Large bleeds sometimes need surgery.
