Child or Adult?: Also depends upon surgeon & surgical technique used, i.e whether open or laparoscopic. If open, whether trans-abdominal or if inguinal canal needed to be opened. By & large babies healed in 7 - 10 days, young boys 7 - 14 days. Older boys & young adults 1 - 3 weeks. Of course longer if there are complications.
