Don't panic.: Stage 2 chronic kidney disease is mild and if it remains stable, should not affect your lifespan significantly. Lead a common-sense healthy lifestyle (healthy diet, exercise, avoid smoking, etc) and keep regular checkups with your primary care physician. If the kidney disease progresses (which it sometimes can), you should be referred to a nephrologist who can help manage this chronic condition.
