Symptoms: after a premalignancy of 15 years, the primary grows rapidly, most often in the head region. Here invasion of the CD occurs with resulting painless jaundice. Only 10% are resectable. In the body, nvasion of retroperitoneal neural plexus with pain is the first symptom and in the tail region which is rarer, some gastric varicies and then metastasis to liver.

Often late: Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer often presents after it has left the pancreas. When it starts in the head, it can obstruct the main duct and give digestive symptoms early. In these cases it can sometimes be cured. When it is in the body or tail, often there are no symptoms until it invades the nerves behind the abdomen. Sadly, this is often too late for it to be cured.
