A member asked:

Can you tell me how to know if this is a kidney stone?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

CT: A CT scan is usually done to diagnose a kidney stone. It shows up a bright, dense round object in the kidney, ureter, or bladder. Kidney stones, if they obstruct the renal collecting system, will cause flank pain on that side that can radiate to the groin. Blood in urine may also be seen.
