A member asked:

How much time can somebody survive with untreated renal cell carcinoma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Why do you ask?: Little renal cell carcinomas are a fairly common incidental finding at autopsy and we have no idea how long they've been there. If one is symptomatic, there's no guessing survival time. In any decision about accepting treatment, an honest discussion about both length and quality of life is essential.
