A member asked:

Does scar tissue always develop with peyronie's disease? if so, how long after a trauma would it show itself? and is it always noticeable?

Dr. James Lin answered

Every life event...: Every life event always displays itself as a pattern of full spectrum; so does Peyronie's, resulting in a wide range of penile deformity and its related symptoms. Physically, an obvious plaque is palpable and becoming matured over 6-12 months. Despite the tissue change life a scar, most cases are idiopathic with only a few having traceable Hx of penile injury during sexual activity.
