Maybe: Chest pain can herald many problems but dislocated ribs do not arise out of nowhere they are traumatic injuries. Sudden sharp chest pain on one half of chest can be a collapsed lung - especially if associated with significant shortness of breath. Similar pain can also be from an infection in the pleural space (next to the lung). Dull pain in middle of the chest can be from heart or esophagus.
