Rest: Fracture/Dislocation of hand requires immobilization, rest for healing, especially if you have disrupted ligaments. You have not indicated the anatomical part of the hand, wrist, metacarpals, or phalanges (fingers). Get seen by MD, get X-rays, immobilize and use RICE. RICE stands for Rest, Ice, Compress with ace (in your case thumb spica splint or cast if MD indicates) and NSAIDs (unless fracture)
