Don't use 24/7!: Sertraline can be a cause of diarrhea, especially if taken without food. You don't mention your dose, but if the diarrhea is continuing, please discuss with your doctor. I'd suggest not taking the med until the diarrhea stopped, then resuming at a lower dose and make sure you take with food. How come you were "restricting" food? Discuss with dr too! Use your obsessive tendencies to help, not harm!

No don't do that: Get checked out. Make sure your thyroid is not overactive, If thyroid test is negative find out what is causing your problem. (May need to see the gastroenterologist) Usually constant diarrhea is not from the medication but this may need to be ruled out as well (serotonergic syndrome) .
