Yes: Inflammatory bowel disease is a chronic inflammatory process in the lining of the intestinal tract. It does not directly cause any significant changes in the blood so blood tests are usually normal. If a patient had very bad bleeding or diarrhea from the IBD, this could cause changes in the blood counts (CBC), but less symptomatic cases of IBD would probably not show any blood abnormality
