Wrong question: The question isn't whether you CAN, the question is whether you SHOULD. Of course you can, and I am guessing that you either have or you probably will. One of the common causes of insomnia, that most doctors don't ever think of, is in people who drink regularly at night, which actually destroys normal sleep architecture and promotes insomnia. Whiskey on top of melatonin doesn't help, it hurts.
