Could i live without a thyroid and not have to take any meds?

For awhile: You could live for awhile with no thyroid hormone, but it wouldn't be happy or healthy. Evolution saw to it we have a thyroid for life for a very good reason. This person without the thyroid will need (and WANT!) to take thyroid hormone replacement.
