A member asked:

When children eat too much sugar, does this extra sugar have bad effects on the brain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Jay Park answered

No: Lack of sugar has a deleterious effect to the brain. The extra sugar will raise blood glucose level but not to high enough level to cause ill effect. The extra glucose in blood (above renal threshold) will be filtered out through kidney in normal child.
