Can any docs elaborate on the difference in a partial cecectomy and a right hemicolectomy?

Yes: Cecum is the beginning of the right colon. Cecum, ascending is on right, then transverse, descending is left colon, then rectum. Hemi is about half. Ectomy is removal of something. So more colon removed than just a part of cecum! Why ? Not a very common operation?
