Any psychotherapy: Any form of psychotherapy can help with phobias. Hypnosis is one form of psychotherapy and as such can be useful in dealing with your phobia. See a trained therapist who is a member of the american society for clinical hypnosis if this is the modality of therapy you wish to try.

A 43-year-old member asked:
How do doctors know if fears are irrational?
1 doctor answer • 6 doctors weighed in

Dr. Colin Kerranswered

Irrational fear: Who is to say what is "rational"? To answer this we usually assume that a rational fear must be reasonable and capable of happening within an individual's actual context. Taking a good history and asking questions about a person's situation can help determine this, but not with 100% accuracy. It is clear that we all spend too much time worrying about what "might" happen rather than what is likely.

Face it: One needs to learn how to face his or her fears head on. Think of what makes you afraid until you become anxious and then, do not react or respond in anyway. Let the anxiety wash over your body. It will go away. Also, try the book stop obsessing bu edna foa and good luck.
