A member asked:

What might cause my 9 month baby to get pneumonia twice in 6 months?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Multiple reasons: A 9 month old with repeated pneumonia has a large differential diagnosis. She could be suffering from an immune deficiency, asthma, congenital abnormality, reflux to name a few. This child deserves an extensive work-up by someone experienced in pediatric lung disease problems. This could be an allergist or pulmonologist.
