GERD: You likely have GERD, and a hiatal hernia. You should eat less/smaller amounts/more frequently........That way you won't be stacking your stomach and overflowing back up into your esophagus.

Reflux: Sounds like you have esophageal reflux where part of what you eat refluxes from the stomach back into the esophagus commonly caused by a hiatal hernia. Eating slower and limiting how much you eat and remaining upright for an hour or so after you eat can help. OTC medications like omeprazole and ranitidine help as well. should see doctor if symptoms are severe.
