Ketogenic diet: Ketogenic diet has been known for a long time but has not been utilized often. This diet can be useful for the individuals with intractable seizure. Skillful dietician can make this diet more palatable to the children.

Kerogenic diet: In cases of refractory epilepsy the kerogen diet and similar diets may be helpful. If seizures are under contrl with medication a balanced diet should be sufficient.
