Pattern: First would be for you to have a good history in place. Any precipitating event for the pains? Are they worse with activities, and if so, what kind of activities? What makes them better? Do they bother you at night? Any other symptoms- numbness, tingling? Any recent trauma? Is it possible that they originate in your lower back? Keep a log of the pain and call your PCP for an appointment.
