Yellow tongue: There are many different causes of yellow coated tongue, but the most common are: certain foods, inflamed papillae (bacterial inflammation), systemic problems (liver disease). Prevention measures: good oral hygiene, avoid alcohol, tobacco, coffee and visit your dentist for final diagnosis and treatment if needed.

Yellow tongue: You may have a fungal infection. You will need professional care. Do not wait a month for your next dental appointment, especially as your symptoms seem to be increasing. See either your General Dentist or your General Physician for evaluation/medication.
