See answer: A typical initial visit to a urologist will include: 1) thorough history (hx) with questions pertaining to reason for your visit, past med/surg hx, meds, allergies, and social hx, 2) physical exam with focus on genital area and, if indicated, a digital rectal exam to check prostate; 3) a request for a urine sample for urinalysis; and 4) discussion of possible diagnosis, further testing, treatment.

History & exam: Will ask about family history, about 15% of males with hypospadias have relative with similar condition. Will ask how you urinate, if penis is bent with or without erection & sexual history. Should perform complete physical examination including chest, abdomen & genitalia (penis, scrotum & testicles. May advise surgery. If so ask experience or consider superb pediatric urologists in Atlanta.
