Need more tests,,: More tests are likely needed to interpret this. This seems like two separate things. The left back pain might be a kidney issue like infection or possibly a stone and the high platelet count may be another issue or just a finding. Your MCV is on the low side so iron anemia can be possible. A visit to your doctor for more tests, notably kidney tests and an exam is a good idea. Best of luck.

Tx the pt, not the #: The numbers you present, cannot be meaningfully interpreted in this venue since it lacks enough clinical context- what's the nature of the back pain? What other medical history do you have? Are you on meds that can affect your WBC counts? The best doctor to interpret the numbers you described, will be the doctor who ordered them.
