No worry: When urine that has uric acid crystals in it, which can happen if child is a little bit dehydrated or recovering from an illness, the uric acid crystals hit the gel beads in the diaper and these combine for the orange tint. We see this all the time in newborn's diapers because they excrete relatively more uric acid. That's why the cotton ball urine was yellow and the diaper is discolored!
