See below. : If dates are accurate and exam performed by one well trained in evaluating fetal cardiac activity, it would seem that fetal demise would be most likely. Best approach at this time is to follow your doctors advice and get a follow-up in the one week suggested to re evaluate cardiac activity, and for any growth of the fetus (fetal pole).
