Symptoms: most viral syndromes start to improve within 7-10 days. However, some of your symptoms raise concern that you may have developed a bacterial infection (such as a pneumonia.) If these symptoms are worsening or fail to improve by day 10, you should see a doctor. A physical exam, some simple blood tests, and possibly an xray will help determine if antibiotics are needed or not.
