Pulsatile tinnitus: Pulsatile tinnitus needs a diagnosis, as it is classically neurovascular related. It might be a vascular growth or malformation of some kind, or it might just be an unusual path for an otherwise normal carotid artery. It could also exacerbate with elevated blood pressure, elevated intracranial pressure, or blood pooling in the head. It usually needs a physical exam and imaging/vascular studies.

Pulsatile tinnitus: Pulsatile tinnitus is the most dangerous kind of tinnitus and may have a vascular source. The best course of action is to visit a doctor in person and get a physical examination. The physician will determine what tests and labs you need.
