A member asked:

I have early stage pkd. i have been having swelling in my hands and feet at night. i don't drink a lot of liquids. is that why i have swelling?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HTN & Proteinuria: by the 4th decade of life most of those with PKD will develop HTN +/- proteinuria. This could be the cause of your swelling. Also you must be careful with your salt intake. Have your doctor keep a close watch on your BP and be aggressive in treating it to keep it under control.
