Depends: How many weeks are you? During pregnancy, its not uncommon to have intermittant contractions that are not strong enough to produce cervical change. These 'false labor' contractions frequently go away with rest. If they persist more than an hour or so, its best to see your Ob be checked to see if you are in labor.
