A week or longer.: Saphris (asenapine) usually doesn't cause withdrawal; however, everyone is different. B/c it has Alpha 1 receptor blockade, u may experience higher blood pressure, palpitations & anxiety. Antipsychotics can disrupt body temperature regulation, so some people may experience fever & chills off the med. You may experience symptoms for at least a wk.
