Adjustment period: It can take 3 months, and sometimes more, for your period to regulate itself and be more "normal," which means predictable length of bleeding, how much you bleed, and when you will bleed. In the meantime, yes, it is normal to have heavy bleeding, or spotting, or short periods. Hang in there!
