No: Most asymptomatic lesions would not be associated with wt. loss. As an example an undetected breast lesion, ovarian lesion or polypoid malignancy of bowel would still be associated with patients ability to gain wt. Uncontrolled wt. loss is seen in a tumor such as pancreas cancer where a compound known as cachexin is produced and results in anorexia and wt. loss. Cachexin is same as TNF
