Depends on location: It depends on the location of the epiretinal membrane causing your macular pucker. Reading vision primarily depends on what is happening in your fovea. if the membrane is not affecting the fovea, you will read fine, but see blur elsewhere. Because most people describe macular pucker as distortion rather than blur, consider that the blur may also have other causes like cataract.
