Do you need to?: I am going to assume that he is using Anabolic steroids as part of a muscle-gaining scheme. He has thought hard about this and decided to do it. About 1 million men in the USA are using steroids like this, mostly illegally, and most do not suffer serious ill-effects. If his behavior becomes unacceptable, you'll need to respond appropriately. My idea; other physicians here may disagree strongly.
