Long training: After college one must have 4 years of medical school. At this point one decides on a specialty which here to begin with is 4 years of internal medicine. On completion and obtaining Boards in Medicine, one then goes on to a subspecialty such as cardiology , nephrology or oncology. In most places this program requires several more years to obtain additional Boards in Hematology/Oncology.
