A member asked:

Sometimes it feels like my heart jumps a bit, it's like it stops then beats again, why is this?

Premature beats: You're having premature beats - since the heart likes to resume its previous rhythm, it actually does pause a moment to get back into the cadence.

Palpitations: You are probably feeling extra beats, your doctor can check and advise you if anything needs to be done.

PACs, PVCs: You perfectly describe premature beats. These can arise from the upper chamber (PACs) or lower chamber (PVCs). The heart likes to stay in rhythm so it pauses ("stops") for a moment after a premature beat to get back into its original rhythm.
