Can you advise for home care and tips on adult tracheotomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cleaning and suction: The minimum care is cleaning the cannula and providing suction of secretions as needed. Depending on the type of tracheostomy, the cannula may be removable and/or disposable which dictates how it is cleaned. Suctioning periodically with disposable suction catheter is the most common practice.
