Less effective: Ultram or tramadol is a weak opioid. Percocet is a combination of oxycodone (a strong opioid) and Tylenol (acetaminophen). Ultram can be effective for mild to moderate pain but is less powerful than Percocet and therefore can sometimes be less effective. If you are taking any antidepressants, check with your doctor before taking ultram together with these medications.
