Not sure what the: question is. There are many excellent neurosurgeons in the military. If you were on active duty then you may be eligible for VA benefits. I would encourage you to look into filing a VA application if you have not already done so. Take care.

Totally depends: on the prognosis. A head surgery in and of itself is not disqualifying. The Military will provide either directly or through another hospital pre & postop testing, the procedure, medications, rehab & appropriate recovery time. If you are still able to perform your MOS or reclass (by being able to perform all duties of section 5 of the profile) you will be able to continue to serve in the military.
