A member asked:

Is it possible to have stared death in the face?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Figure of speech: This is a common metaphor for facing a life-threatening situation without running away or otherwise being overcome by fear. A person may come away far more appreciative of life, of others, etc. If there's an 'angel of death', I can't tell you. Real mental health work focuses on resiliance and folks' ability to survive. If you had a brush with death & are stronger for it, congratulations.
