Can you tell me about being treated with hyalgan?

See details: It is a material injected into the knee to reduce osteoarthritic pain. It is called a lubricant but actually it probably works by other mechanisms. For moderate arthritis, it provides reasonably good results about 80% of the time. These improvements last about 6 months. I prefer other types of these injectables as Hyalgan requires 3-5 injections and others require only one injection.

Hyalgan: Hyalgan is approved for treating osteoarthritis of the knee. It is made from a substance derived from a rooster's comb. It provides lubrication to the joint surfaces, reducing friction and helping reduce inflammation. It has been known to help regenerate the cartilage surface as well. A course of either 3 or 5 injections is needed depending on which brand is used. Good luck.
