Diabetics get : Numbness in hands and feet. Pain can be a result of neuropathy so it is possible but so are many of the arthritic conditions. Before drawing conclusions go visit your internist. He would be able to rule out the diabetes with a blood test.

MAYBE DIABETES: The definitive answer is maybe. Long-term undiagnosed diabetes can cause these neuropathy symptoms, as can many other disorders. Family history of diabetes? Have you ever been tested? See your family doctor for a work-up. Regards, Dr. Latva
