A member asked:

My blood pressure seems to be 5-10 points higher or lower sometimes on different arms. should you sit with you arm aligned same height as your heart?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Your arm should be at heart level. Measure your BP after resting at least 5-10 minutes. Take 3 measurements and average them. Recognize that BP is a dynamic parameter that is normal changing all the time. An average BP over many weeks of >140/>90 is elevated.
