Possibly: The fertile female pin worm exits the anus during quiet periods to lay their eggs in a sticky glue-like mucous. Many develop a itchy rash in reaction to this glue. The itchiness is helpful in dispersing the dried eggs. A non-specific irritant dermatitis is part of this cycle of life for pin worms.
